these images are from a trip up to jeff nelson's (minor threat/teen idles/egg hunt/co-owner of dischord records/ect) home in toledo ohio. my good friend anthony pappalardo invited me to go to shoot some photographs for his new book "radio silence." jeff was an amazing guy who has cataloged everything and anything you could imagine from the DC hardcore scene in the 80's. from all of his original record artwork for dischord to flyers for every DC gig, the man had it all perfectly archived. we drank light beer together, ate frozen pizza snacks, and talked about straight edge. this was one of my all time favorite portrait assignments i've ever had. enjoy

summer update

its been quite a bit since my last post and there's so much new work i don't even know where to start. i just came home from a trip to northern quebec where i photographed "La Traversée internationale du lac St-Jean" which is a series of long distance open water swimming races that take place in a choppy lake in the town of roberval. here are a few of the images. though i've only been back for a few days i'm off to southern california tomorrow for the next 2 weeks. tons of new work to come...see you in mid august
